Yes, I wondered the same thing, why. I thought could possibly
William Jason Fruits have had an affair with Elsie? All things can run through one's mind trying to figure it out.
Another thing that we keep thinking about is why Elsie waited 42 yrs to file a birth certificate on Mom ( Ruby). I just checked on the deaths of both George and Elizabeth Mead Reeder. George died 1937 and Elizabeth died 11 Jan 1942. Maybe Elsie waited until after both of her parents deaths to record the birth certificate, so her mother would not find out the truth? Again, the question arises then was George W Reeder, her father- really the father of her child Ruby?
Another question is why didn't Elsie Reeder keep her child, Ruby and raise her instead of her parents? These are questions will will probably never find the truth to them, We can only assume. Thanks Jan
