Hi, in my family tree, my Great, great grand father and all his sister and brothers originated from Denmark. My Great, great grand father Jens Prebensen emmigrated with his family to New Zealand in 1873. While his brother Johannes emmigrated with his family to the United Stated in 1872 - settling in Neenah, Wisconsin. Also one of my Great grand father's sisters emmigrated from New Zealand to San Francisco and later Seattle, Washington.
I am currently trying to find information regarding my Great, great grand father's sister Birthe Madsen (nee Prebensen) and her children.
Her son Mads Peder Hansen recieved a passport for the United States on the 10th June, 1882.
Birthe Madsen was born 21st March, 1832 Denmark and married Hans Madsen (who died in denmark).
Peder Hansen was born 2nd March, 1859
Prebensen Hansen was born 22nd August, 1860
Mads Peder Hansen was born 7th April, 1864
Hans Christian Hansen was born 6th March 1871
It is assumed because the brothers were not available for compulsery military training in Denmark, that they moved to the United Stated. I have no idea when or where, and any assistance would be very gladly accepted.
