Skagit County Jail
Posted by: Lennart Elg (ID *****0575) Date: March 26, 2012 at 09:18:39

My grandfather´s second cousin Victor Elg (b 1879)emigrated from Sweden in 1903, and eventually ended up in the Seattle/Tacoma area. The 1930 Federal census lists him as a logger, but currently not employed as he is a house guest of the Skagit County Jail, Mt Vernon.

Are there any historical records which could tell me what brought him there? Was it a barroom brawl, was he a union organizer or what?

Victor passed away on 28 Sep 1941, in Tacoma.

/Lennart Elg, Sweden
