George TEETERS

Henry Teeters has always been a focus for info about the TEETERS family. I felt that if I could find the family of Henry TEETERS I might also find more info on his supposed brothers also residing in Wayne Co., Ohio. George TEETERS (my ancestral grandfather) was living in Wayne Co. in the same time period as Henry TEETERS. He was born abt 1775-80 and married Susane Marie Willard (Villard in Switzerland) in about 1799 in the Somerset Co., PA area. I find a Henry, George and Michael TEETERS in West Bethlehem, Washington, PA in the 1810 census. Michael goes west to central Ohio and George and Henry continue north to Wayne Co. OH. George has seven children and is last heard of in Paint Twp., Wayne Co., OH in the 1823 census close to the end of that year. Researchers have contended that he died in 1823 in either Wayne or Stark Co. Some say George went blind. No one really knows what killed this man in his prime. Any data to support my search would be greatly appreciated. The search has been long and frustrating. Your work has cast possible new light on a long family mystery. Ray
