The Tacoma Library has an online listing of obituaries published in the local Tacoma newspapers (Tacoma News Tribune [TNT] and Tacoma Herald, etc).
http://search.tpl.lib.wa.us/obits/ It identified a K. Takano, death 1918. But, that does not mean the others were not in obituaries.

The Washington Death Certificate Index, 1907-1960:
http://search.labs.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=0
shows Takano Deaths on that date of 5 nov 1926:
1. Noboru Takano, death at age 5 years, 9 months and 16 days
Father: Karoku Takano, mother Miyae Morimoto
2. Miyae takano, death at age 31 years 3 months and 2 days.
Father Tomizo Morimoto, mother Sumi Morimoto
3. Karoku Takano, age 42 years, 11 months and 14 days, spouse Miyae, father Kaemon Takano, mother Luki Mishiwata.

The World War I Draft Registration Card image database shows a Karoku K. Takano, born 21 Nov 1883, living in Thurston County, WA, when he registered. An Isao Takano born 1 Feb 1897 was living in Tacoma, WA when he registered.

The Washington State Library has a free research service, the ask-a-librarian program, where they will look for information in the archives, in this case the newspaper microfilm for an event, such as a murder/. They will look up to an hour and send you the results. Contact them at: http://www.secstate.wa.gov/library/ask.aspx .
Give them the date of deaths, the place, the possible circumstances. This is not just an obituary, but news articles may be over several days.

I would suggest to also post on the Rootsweb Message Board, Rootsweb probably has more qualified local researchers than on GenForum:
http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.washington.counties.pierce/mb.ashx

You could also ask for help at the Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness. A researcher might look further into the microfilm. Read the guidelines first. I've set the link for Pierce county:
