I know that this is a very old post, but I have just started to research this side of the family and discovered the post.

I would love to make contact with others researching this family.

Sarah Jane Rees Galloway was my great grandmother, William T Galloway my Great grandfather (Jane Galloway was my Grandmother). Archibald Galloway my gg grandfather.

I am very interested in information on the Welsh studies at University of California, Berkeley, Bancroft Library that David Painter refers to regarding David W Rees. I have a copy of his Naturalization papers (from Contra Costa Co), but I do not yet know how the Rees family (David W and his wife Jane (Richards or Richardson) Rees ended up in Nortonville CA from Wales along with young children.

I am also just beginning on the Galloway side. I believe that I can fill in a few of the "maybes" from Clyde Senger's research and/or raise a few new ones. Again, I do not know the exact route that they took from Scotland to Coos Co OR, but it seems as if they spent an awful lot of time at sea since I think there may have also been another daughter born in Scotland, but who died at sea in Sep 1853 - prior to the son born enroute in Chili in Dec 1854.

If anyone is interested in these 2 families, or others who ended up in Kittitas Co, WA, please let me know.

Thank you.
Lynda
