Hi Pat, I first found John Sneeringer, in the Election District 1, Baltimore Co., Maryland 1900 Census. He was b. PA. Oct 1880 & attending Mount St. Joseph's College.

In 1910 he and his family were living in Seattle Ward 3, King Co., WA. He had been married abt. 2 yrs. He was a _____man construction co. His wife Agnes was b. Canada English, 28 yrs old & had given birth to 1 child who was still alive in 1910. Mary F., b. WA was 5/12ths. Mary A. O'Connell, mother-in-law, b. Canada English, 60 yrs old & Hugh O'Connell, brother-in-law, b. Canada English, 30 yrs old, steam fitter construction were living with them.

John Alphonsis Sneeringer filled out his World War I Draft Reg. Card Sept. 12, 1918. He was living at 4719 - 11th NE, Seattle at that time. He was b. 12 Oct 1880. He was a draftsman for Fred A. Watson, Engineering, 322 Central Bldg, Seattle. His nearest relative was Agnes Sneeringer at same address as John. He was medium height & slender build with blue eyes & light hair.

In 1920 John and family were still in Seattle. He was an architectural draftsman for a flour mill. His wife Agnes immigrated in 1901 and was naturalized in 1909 from Canada [if she was naturalized in Seattle you can get a copy of the papers from the Seattle, King Co. Court House]. Mary F., b. WA 10; Jack V., b. CA, 6 and Loretta A., b. WA 8/12ths.

In 1930 the family was still in Seattle. John was "architectural draftsman building". Agnes T., 49; Jack V. b. CA 16; Laretta A., WA, 11 and Ray H., b. WA 9.

The 1930 Census is the most recent that is available to the public. To obtain other information about the family from 1931-death, you'd have to check copies of the City Directory.

John Sneeringer, 535-01-7596, last residence (but could really be where last benefit check was mailed) Seattle. Born 12 Oct 1880 and d. June 1969. His soc. sec # was issued in WA before 1951. Source: Social Security Death Index (which anyone can access by entering in search engine).
