Searching for information on the family of John and Mary Jane Adams, and their children.
Mary was the daughter of Nancy Rogers, prior to her marriage to Solomon Hays. They lived in the Lynnville area of Giles County, TN until late in 1873, when they moved to Macedonia, Franklin County, IL. Solomon died in 1877 and Nancy in 1880 (at the Adams' home.) John and Mary appear on the 1880 census, still in Franklin County.
Sometime later, they moved to Kelso, Cowlitz County, and several of their children became teachers. Son, Thomas Hayes Adams, was prominent in the Vancouver area until his death in 1940. His passion for growing tulips ultimately led to the creation of Adams Park.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
