Hi Vicki, I found Census info about John and his family before his marriage to Laura. If you're interested, you can respond or send me an email. I didn't find any additional info for Laura after her divorce from John in Ancestry, FamilySearch or Washington State Digital Archives. Maybe she remarried? Have you checked the records for the County where the divorce was issued? A John Beavert on Sept. 9, 1918 was living in Woodland, Cowlitz Co., WA. Born-7 July 1873. Occupation=Logger for Hammond Lumber Co., Seaside, OR. Nearest Relative=Mrs. Mary A. Williams [mother], RFD 3, Vancouver, WA. Source: World War I Draft Registration cards 1917-18, www.ancestry.com. In 1930 John and Flora are living in Vancouver, Clark Co., WA. John b. OR, 57 yrs old, marr @ 47, laborer lumber. Flora, b. KS, 56 yrs old, marr @ 46. I'd look for his marriage to Flora in Cowlitz and Clark Counties, WA. The Lower Columbia Genealogy Society does research in Cowlitz County. Go to http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~walcolgs/lcgs.htm which explains their fee, etc. Hopefully they will have the Marriage Index microfilm and can search for John's marriage to Flora. Also info is being added to FamilySearch and Washington State Digital Archives almost every day so continue to check those sources. The Clark County marriages were added to Washington State Digital Archives, however John's marriage to Flora didn't appear. Therefore, I think it's fairly safe to say they weren't married in Clark Co. A John Beavert, Age-60, died 9 March 1934, Amboy, Clark Co., WA. Father's Name=John Beavert. Mother's Name=Miller. Spouse=Flora Beavert. Source: Washington State Digital Archives, http://www.digitalarchives.wa.gov/ . Successful Searching! Notify Administrator about this message?
