Hi Breezy, Reynold Malmquist's estate was probated in 1878 in Jefferson County case # JEF-2171 per Washington State Digital Archives, http://www.digitalarchives.wa.gov/ .
You can contact the Jefferson County Court House and ask for a copy of his probated estate records.

I found an 1885 Chimacum, Jefferson Co. Census which shows the family; L. Malquist, b. Wash. Terr, abt. 1850; J, male, 18, farmer, b. Wash. Terr; E., male, b. Wash Terr, 16; A., b. Wash. Terr, 13, fem; E., b. Wash. Terr, 11, fem; J., b. Wash. Terr. male, 8; A., b. Wash. Terr, 6, fem and E., b. Wash. Terr., fem, 3.

I'd contact the Jefferson County Genealogical Society, http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~wajcgs/ and see if they have any additional information on Lizzie or an obituary for Reynold.

Also I'd contact the Washington State Library, http://www.secstate.wa.gov/library/ask.aspx , and request a copy of Reynold's obit. They will search the newspaper microfilm for 60 minutes and reply with what they did or didn't find. Successful Searching!
