I called them. acc. to their records, John R. Newton was buried at Park Hill Cemetery (sec. A,blk 5,grave 2).

Park Hill Cemetery
5915 E Mill Plain

Park Hill Cemetery and Evergreen Memorial Gardens are not too far from each other. Evergreen is a little north of the intersection of Mill Plain Blvd. and I-205. Park Hill is west on Mill Plain from that intersection.

(if you want to use a mapping program, use the address for Fred Meyer One Stop Shopping. 'Freddies' is a large store on the SW corner of Mill Plain and I-205 interchange. their address is 11325 SE Mill Plain Blvd.)
