My mother-in-law's sister (Delores) was Claron's wife. I have both the paid and regular obituary notices in my bible.
Regular notice reads:

Claron H. "Pete" Landis, 77, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 1994, at home. Mr. Landis had worked in the potrooms at Alcoa Aluminum for 35 years. He was born April 16, 1917 in
Westphalia, kan., and had lived in Vancouver since 1942.
Mr Landis is survived by his wife of 53 years, Delores, at home; a son, Claron Al of Yakima; two grandchildren;
and one great-grandson. He built his home, enjoyed gardening
and growing flowers and had many hobbies. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Gardens
Funeral Chapel. Vault interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be
made to Hospice Southwest, P.O. Box 1600, Vancouver, WA 98668

paid notice reads:

Claron H. "Pete" Landis - Age 77, dies december 7, 1994 at home in Vancouver, WA. He was born April 16, 1917 in Westphalia, Kansas and was a vancouver resident since 1942. He worked in the potrooms at Alcoa Aluminum for 35 years in Vancouver, WA. he built and loved his home here and was married for 53 1/2 years. He enjoyed gardening and growing flowers, he had many hobbies and was always there to lend a hand to his family, neighbors and friends. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and will be missed by his family. He is survived by his wife, delores Landis at home; son Claron Al Landis and wife Diane who reside in Yakima, WA; grandson William james Landis residing in China; grandaughter, Virginia Lee Bonser and great-grandson, Frankie Bonser both of yakima, WA; special friend, Rick Sanders of Vancouver, WA; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends are invited to attend funeral services, Saturday, December 10th at 11:00 A.M. at memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel, 1101 NE 112th Avenue, Vancouver, WA. Vault interment will be in The Garden of The Apostles, Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Vancouver, WA. Memorials may be mad in his name to ; Hospice Southwest, P.O. Box 1600, Vancouver, WA 98668.
