Hi J Transcriber, I have not been to NYE Index thank you for that information. I have been to Bennington, VT to the battle field for The Battle of Bennington and the Historical Society. The monument to the battle is impressive. As you gaze across the field, you can imagine the troops lined up and the cannons firing. I have been to Sunderland, Vt where George Majors Jr was born, to Essex where George Majors Sr once lived, and to Fairfax where he built a stone house just south of the Bellows farm. I have been to Safford Cemetery in Fairfax where James Bellows has a monument. I still have not been able to tie Abigail Bellows as a daughter to James Bellows. Or, if James Bellows and George Majors met in the Rev War.

All I can say with certainty is that George Majors Sr and James Bellows were neighbors and that George Majors Jr and Abigail Bellows married.

I have been to the VT State Archives where all of the State Vital Records are kept.

I went to Montpelier on another family search and was told all of the records were sent to the State Archives. That was 30 some years ago. Times are changing. I don't travel so well now. I'm stuck sifting trough some of the most ungodly messes people type into this online system via this infernal machine.

Thank you for your willingness to assist. I am grateful,

Your cousin in Genealogy,

Al
