Wright family, Northfield, VT, worked for Judge Elijah Paine 1840's
I am looking for information on John Wright (b 1780, probably Massachusetts). He is mentioned in the "Centennial Proceedings of Northfield Vermont (published 1876), page 105. He is reported to have worked for Judge Elijah Paine in Vermont. He married Lydia Robinson (children Samuel & Weltha) and then Polly Richardson Smith (children Martin, John, Mary, Joseph N. Fanny Minerva & Lucy). Both marriages and children are documented in the Centennial Proceedings. Joseph N. died in Libby Prison at the end of the Civil War, documented by Vermont in the Civil War. According to family history, another son died in Andersonville Prison, and at least one other served the Union, but I am not sure which sons those would be. I would love information on any of the members of this family. My line is from his son (James) Martin Wright (b. May 1821), who moved to Wisconsin with his wife Antoinette Maria Lyon (b Dec 19, 1829) and daughter Emily. I will share whatever information that I have for this family. Thank you--VCoyle
