I'm 99% french canadian so I have a little bit of experience looking for misspellings or dits for french names. I'm not sure what you meant by the "first suggestion". Both families I found were the same. The family search site transcribed the name as Beauline in 1880 (pasted below). If you look at the original page it appears to be Beaulieu. Also the ancestor you were looking for is transcribed as Mary W. in error. The parents names match 1870 as well as their birthplace and his occupation. The sister Adeline is on this census. If you don't have census access I can get you the original pages for this family.
