In spite of what has been previously posted and has been written in "Hugh Mosher", it appears that Mary Jane (Wallace) Mosher did not marry James M. Rogers. Mary J., aged 20y, b. Vt., appears in her parents' household in Holland, Vermont, 16 June 1860 as a Wallace. Her father William's household is just one family from that of Timothy Moshier. In 1871, she appears as Mary J. "Worster" likely an error for Mosher, aged 31y, b. U. States, a widow, in her parents' household in Barford, Quebec. As Mary Jane Wallis, widow of "Thimothe Mosher", she married Simon Lemay at Compton, Quebec 25 December 1871. Also, in the 1871 census, following Mary Jane is "Worster", William, aged 20y, b. Quebec (who I belive is William Wallace not Worster or Mosher) and "Worster", Winfield, aged 9y, b. U. States (who would appear to be your Winfield). In 1881, Winfield Wallis, 18y, b. U.S., appears in the Dixville, Quebec hosuehold of Wm Wallis, aged 30y, b. Quebec. On 6 April 1891, Winfield Mosher, 29y, b. United States with wife Nellie is living in Dixville two families from William Wallace, aged 40y, b, Quebec. I can Email the census documents to you, if you like.
