The son of my 5th great grandfather John Parsons was Andrew Parsons who became governor of MI in 1853. Contrary to Andrew's Biographer, I believe John Parsons was born in Vernon Vermont around 1788; m. Betsey Tyler April 2, 1808. I base this on obituaries of John's other children, found in local newspapers. In the online history of Vernon VT there is a brief biography of Samuel Luke Parsons b. 1831 that mentions that Samuel Luke is the grandson of Andrew Parsons and the cousin of Gov. Andrew Parsons.

Any further information would be greatly appreciated.
