Thank you Glenn, I did know that part because John Francis is my 2nd great grandfather but i'm stuck on John's father, Horace Barnes and i can't find him or get past him and i was wondering if there were any living porters in the area who would know or had them in thier line. John's mother was a porter born in ticonderoga but I haven't found when or where she died. Would love to find some porters as they would be cousins...just an added bonus to 15 years of reserching my dad's line.
