Candy:
Your suggestion re: enlarging photographs in order to show more detail sounds great.Thank you.
Unfortunately, I cannot help you in locating the newspaper article that you are seeking.Since the farm was in Rutland County, perhaps you should post to that site.
I did locate the Newton Family in the 1900 and 1910 census, residing in Clarendon, Rutland Cnty, VT.
By 1920, their son, Aldace, ran the farm and I could not locate Alexander or his wife, Eliza.
1930 information..same as 1920.
Apparently the farm was located in Clarendon but had a Wallingford P O address.
The 1911 Clarendon Directory reads..
A. W. Newton..farmer, Wallingford P O
Another 'bit' of information from the 'Political Graveyard Site'...Newton, Aldace W b 1878of Clarendon. Born in Clarendon, Rutland County, VT March 24, 1878Member of Vermont State House of Rep, 1921; Member of Vermont State Senate from Rutland County, 1923.CongregationalistBurial location unknown
Sorry I couldn't help you locate the article.
Good Luck..Carolyn
