This is a rough draft only; additions and corrections are welcomed.
The children of David STOW Junior, (via Iris): Sally, b. 19 Aug 1784, d. 28 Dec 1864, born Grafton MA All the rest were born in Halifax VT: Polly, b. 6 Feb 1786, d. 18 Jul 1872 Susy, b. 22 May 1788, d. 16 Oct 1863 Levinah, b. 3 Aug 1790 John, b. 11 Jul 1792 Betsy, b. 8 Nov. 1794, d. 18 Mar 1883 David, b. 30 Jul 1797, d. 6 Sep 1836 James, b. 8 Jun 1800 John, b. 7 Feb 1820 Joseph, b. 14 Apr 1815 George b. 3 Jan 1823, d. 24 Sep 1844.
Cousin M. found no proof of which David STOW, Senior or Junior, was the one in Moses Harrington's Co, Moses Dike's regiment, in the Revolution. The pages from the STOW book you e-mailed to me (via Steve) named this man as David Senior. Maybe that explains why you found a Vermont soldier named David STOW on the "payroll of Lieut. Israel Morey's party under the commend of Lieut. Col. Benj. Waite in the service of the State of Vermont, 1781"! This could have easily been David Junior, since the family (according to the STOW genealogy) had moved to Vermont by that time, and David STOW, Junior would have been 21.
