Lovewell
I was wondering if anyone has any records or information etc. concerning the Lovewell family who settled in Vermont (and New Hampshire). The names of particular interest are John,Nehemiah, Zaccheus (Zacheus)and William. Numerous Lovewells settled in and around Newbury and Corinth and according to war records some are buried there including Nehemiah (at Ox-bow cemetery I think) and Zaccheus in Newbury (not sure exactly where).
Zaccheus Lovewell married Hepsibah Taplin (1st) and had a son “William” born c 1790 who was in the War of 1812 and settled in Lower Canada (Quebec Eastern Townships) and married Mary Hanson, daughter of Micajah Hanson, of Dover, New Hampshire. Micajah's wife was Nancy Rogers from Rochester, NH. I am looking for concrete proof that my relative William is related to Zaccheus. Any help anyone can offer about William or any of the Lovewells would be greatly appreciated.
