But I have also read others comment on how difficult it is to get earlier information out of VT. It seems I did check LDS microfilm and found nothing, but will most defintely recheck but I think it's the more rescent records that were. I can't afford to spend money like that and keep getting a "No record found". I would love to see some searchable data source.

I agree with the above.I am having a heck of a time and have for about 2 years!
I have written many 'places' and have not received ONE response. How rude. ( no money involved though )Those were museums, libraries, newspapers, to name just some!
I am looking for info on a great uncle who was killed in a quarry accident in VT.I cannot find any type of list anywhere nor would ROCK OF AGES even offer me any direction/help. Other states have lists (online) of those who lost their lives in mining.Not only is that of great help to genealogist but also a means to honor those killed.
Frustrated in Massachusetts
