SOUTH POULTNEY [VERMONT]
LOCALS.

-A.H. Martin has been in Rutland this week, attending the Lawrence trial.
**
-Our schools began last Monday, with Miss Owens, and Mr. Murdock of Salem, as teachers.
**
-Rev. J. W. Morris of Slatington, Pa., arrived here on Tuesday evening, to attend the funeral of Mrs. Parry. [My note: Cadwalder W. PARRY]
**
-Mrs. Lydia Maranville of Rutland has been spending a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Asa J. Rogers the past week.
