Hello Tony,

If the local authorities have no records, there are slim chances that they exist. That being said, I would not give up hope. Sometimes when I cannot locate a record in the town of occurence, then I contact the Vermont Archives. Often they have a copy of a record that has "disappeared" from the local records.

You can request informational copies from The Vermont Archives via email or via US Mail. More information can be obtained at their website at

Beyond this, you may have reached an unsurmountable brick wall.
