Hello Tony,

If the local authorities have no records, there are slim chances that they exist. That being said, I would not give up hope. Sometimes when I cannot locate a record in the town of occurence, then I contact the Vermont Archives. Often they have a copy of a record that has "disappeared" from the local records.

You can request informational copies from The Vermont Archives via email archives@sec.state.vt.us or via US Mail. More information can be obtained at their website at http://vermont-archives.org/research/genealogy/vitals/

Beyond this, you may have reached an unsurmountable brick wall.
