Richard Manly Haskins

I am looking for information on Richard Manly Haskins who I believe was born in Highgate Vermont around 1820. I find him in Saranac, Clinton County, New York in 1850 Federal Census along with family. His wife was from Brome Quebec, Canada her name was Asenth Whitehead. I have also found the spelling of Haskins as Hoskins. Some of the children list their father as being born at Highgate, Vermont, others just list Vermont. Can anyone help me find his parents as I am at a dead end in trying to locate them. Thank you for any help!!!!! Wayne Jones wljones001@yahoo.com
