It was so sweet of you to try to help me.. but I don't think the Samuel Howard you found in ~War of 1812" is my ancestor.
I must have worded my query wrong to caused confusion.
My Samuel was known by his middle name "Howard". His surname was Stevens. He was married to Elizabeth W. Childs.
Samuel Howard Stevens was born September 04, 1811 in Vermont. His wife E.W. Childs was born abt. 1812 in Massachusetts.

Although your lookup didn't help me.. Your time and courtesty is much appreciated.
