I am looking for information on Louis/ Lewis Freeman who lived in Swanton Vermont until about 1834?
He married at least twice first to Marie Godin and second to Mary/Marie Denio or Frenyear have also found as Phinney. They are both French Canadian/Indian

She states on pension application married March 14, 1831 Swanton Vt by Justice of the Peace Mr. Wanzier??

they are listed as dark complexion, black hair, black eyes speaks french, cannot read or write. They had the following children together.
Mary Louise
Betsey/Elizabeth
Ursula S.
Eliza C.
Emma A.
Harrison
Henry James
William
Alexander
Amelia C.

I am almost certain Louis's father is John Freeman found in Swanton and Grand Isle VT in early census and that his sisters are Rhoda Mary Freeman who married a Ambrose Tart/e and Betsey who married a Bell and moved to St. Lawrence NY

Thank you in advance for any help!!
Teena
