I had lost track of William McCluskey from the 1860 to 1900 census. In the 1900 census, he is residing in Rutland, Vt, at 34 Kendall Ave. I have him listed as born in April of 1859 (41 yrs old at time of census). Here he is also listed as a baggage master.

Catherine - his wife of 8 years, born in April of 1960 (age 40 at time of census). Both of her parents as well as William's are listed as born in Ireland.

Hugh - The oldest of the their four children, was born September 9, 1893 (he is my husband's grandfather, and we know him as Hugh Patrick)

Catherine - age 5, born December of 1894

John - born January of 1898

James - Born January of 1900

By the 1910 census, Catherine is listed as widowed and still at home with four children. So, I am assuming William died soon after 1900.

She is listed as now living at 302 West St. in Rutland.
Hugh (16) is a salesman of groceries (working on own account)
Catherine (15), John (12), and James (10) are students.

In the 1920 census, Cahterine's four children are still with her, all single.
Hugh (26)is a chauffer for a candy co.
Katherine (25) is a bookeeper for a lumber co.
John (22) and James (19) are both bakers for a bakery.

Hugh married Hilma Anderson. Their children all born in rutland are:
Hugh Anderson McCloskey, born May 29, 1922
Ann McCloskey

Do you need any more recent information?
And, could you please tell me what an LDS record is. I was thrilled to find a marriage date for Hugh and Catherine and would like to further research this.

Hugh's grave inscription is listed in the Irish Immigrants of Vermont Grave Inscriptions book which I should receive later this week. I will let you know if I come up with anything new. I have also sent for death and birth records from Franklin County.
