Irish Mayos?

Hi Jerry, I too always thought of Mayo as a French Can. surname. In fact on the ireland.com ancestors site, there are no Mayos listed on the mid 1800s Griffiths Valuations (closest thing to a census available. Never say never but I think Quebecois roots would be more likely for Mayo despite the County Mayo! God Luck, Peter
