Yes, the Historical Society does do the Cemetery restorations. We have books ; Cemeteries of Georgia,
Families of Georgia, Pictureque of Georgia and Vital Records. These books can be obtained through the Historical Society also. Myself , Peter Mallett and Howard Webster do volunteer research . Right now we are working on pictures of family residents that were donated to the Historical Society. We have a few thousand that can be seen at the library in Georgia. It is possible that someday they will be put into a book. At this time we are working on about a thousand new ones and we have captions telling a bit about each picture. A lot of work has been put into these captions and they are very rewarding in ones research on their families.
I hope that I was able to answer you questions. There are a few different committees that work on different areas. Also they are working on our yearly Georgia Vermont History Book . We also have a section on Genealogy in it. There you will also find a list of names and addresses of those which we have done research for over the last year. This way people can get intouch with others and share information if they wish to do so.
