Hi Judy,
There are 4 John TAYLOR listed but it does not say any died nor is there a widow's pension. I believe the best bet for your John TAYLOR would be the 3rd one below who served in Capt. Williams' Company. These are not my ancestors, and this is all the data I have. Cheers, Jan

~John TAYLOR. Served in Capt. Phineas Williams' Company, 11th Regt.: on Payroll of company for January and February, 1813. Ref: R. & L., 1812, AGO Page 15."

~John B. TAYLOR, Corporal, of Shoreham, Addison Co., VT, honorably discharged, etc.

Source is "STATE OF VERMONT ROSTER OF SOLDIERS N THE WAR OF 1812-14", prepared and published under the direction of Herbert T. Johnson, The Adjutant General, 1933, page 418.

Please let me know at jnrose at if you would like me to transcribe the other 2 TAYLOR soldier's military data.
