Searching re: my gg-grandfather, SOLOMON C. WAID, DOB: Abt. 11/1/1805. A Solomon Waid appears in 1820 Census, residing in RUPERT, Vermont. A BENJAMIN COLLINS WAID, born 1806, also appears in the 1820 Census, residing in Kingston, Addison County, Vermont, along with Stephen WAID. James WAID is listed in Granby, VT. Suspect that the "C" in Solomon C. Waid may stand for "Collins" AND that COLLINS represents their mother's maiden name. Solomon married Catherine Teel in PA in 1829. Trying to determine whether Solomon Waid in Rupert is Solomon C. Waid who shows up in PA. in 1829. Thank you for any help! Others are searching for Benjamin Collins WAID. Brian Waid (Seattle, Wash.)
