Census records for Bennington Vermont are a good source of info for Mason Benjamin's family. I looked at these records on microfiche at the library and made copies. Also, the Bennington Library/Museum sent me a copy of an old map that showed where the Benjamins lived in the early/mid 1800's. I think most of the Benjamins moved before the 1860/1870's, but there may have been a couple that remained. I plan to make it there someday to do research but until then, I welcome any and all info that anyone has to share regarding the family of Mason.
This is what I have so far:
Children of Mason Benjamin & Mariette/Mary Marsh:
Reuben 1829-1863 (died in Bennington Vermont)
Charlotte 1831-? (moved to Illinois died in Chester Illinois)
George Washington 1835-1883 (moved to Illinois died in Brookings South Dakota)
William 1837-?
Henry 1839-1920
Joseph 1841-?
Harriet 1844-1844 (died young in Bennngton Vermont)
Harriet 1845-?
Mason 1847-1852 (died young probably died in Bennington Vermont)
Norman 1849-?
If anyone can help me fill in the blanks as far as where everyone went from Bennington and where they died, I would appreciate it.
