Clyde Campbell b. 15 Jun 1889 was the son of Herbert and Mary A. Cammpbell. They lived in Granville, VT for many years. I am looking for information on his mother Mary, b. Nov 1867 in VT.
1900 Census info lists Clyde as "step-son" and in the household there is a father-in-law named William Ford. My guess is that Clyde, if he was indeed a step-son, was Mary's stepson and Clyde's bio son. This info also points to the idea that Mary's maiden name was Forde. Other info I have points toward a last name of Pond.
My hypothesis is that Clyde's bio mother died and that her last name may have been Pond and that Mary is his step-mother. Just a guess. If anyone out there can clarify any of this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
