Searching for descendants of John Rogers b.1743 and Eunice Sanderson (both of Petersham MA). A soldier of the French/Indian Wars and of the revolution, John Rogers was in Bridport as early as 1788. He operated the ferry to Crown Point in 1811 and his son did the same in 1820.
Their only known son was John Rogers Jr. (1788-1866) who married Nancy______and had one known son Robert Harris Rogers.

Eunice Rogers died 7 April 1817 age 70 years and was buried in the Wolcott Cemetery in Crown Point NY. John Rogers, her husband died 8 Feb. 1819 age 74 and was buried in the same place.

Other persons receiving early licence to carry on the ferry business (from Bridport VT to Crown Point NY) were B.Pickett 1812, Samuel Renne 1820, and Alinda Wells 1820.

I would appreciate help regarding this family. thanks

Ivan Rogers
