In researching my ggg-grandparents William COMO/COMMO/COMEAU and Almeda POWERS, I have begun to be suspicious that William COMMO (b. 1837 Canada/VT?) was the brother of Joseph COMMO. They were both born in Addison County in the 1830s -- Question: Who were their parents. The descendants of these two individuals kept in contact through letters indicating that they were cousins.
William COMMO and Almeda POWERS had four children according to the 1880 US census -- the census lists them as COMO but they were known as COMMO:
1. William (migrated to MA where he died in his late 90s)
2. Grace
3. Mary
4. George (known as Elmer)
I have letters where Grace corresponded with the descendants of Joseph COMMO.
I would be most grateful if anybody could help me solve the mystery of the parents of either Almeda POWERS (b. OH) or William COMMO. I would be glad to share the information that I have accumulated.
