There are 3 Samuel SMITHs listed on page 393 of "State of Vermont ROSTER OF SOLDIERS in the War of 1812-14":
~Samuel B. SMITH of Stowe, Lamoille Co., VT
~Samuel SMITH [no town mentioned], and
~Samuel SMITH of Shoreham, Addison Co., VT.
Please let me know if you would like me to transcribe the data for you.
