The only info on Prindle in Child's Gazetteer 1882 is Mark Prindle, Vergennes P.O., road 52 (now Walker Road in south end of town) farmer of 80 acres. Southern Charlotte has a Prindle Road still in use so I checked their Historical Society book and found many Prindles. This book was in its second printing 1991 "Around The Mountains" historical essays about Charlotte, Ferrisburgh and Monkton, by William Wallace Higbee. He has some info on Charles, Cyrus, George, Gideon, Henry, Isbon, Lewis, Lyman, Midas, S.B. farm and Samuel.
Nothing found on Dunning or Donning. There is a Levi N. Downing in 1882, Monkton Ridge P.O., road 27 (now the Mountain Road) dairy farmer 16 cows, farmer of 125 acres. The only other found was John Downing was an early settler. There is still a Downingville Road in Lincoln.
If any of the Prindle names fit I can check check them out for you.
Hope this helps, Alan
