You've got to love the spelling variations! I've also got another handicap. My grandmother is apparently losing it and has informed me that the early American Vredenburgs were pirates in the Caribean. I kind of doubt this. I DO know, however, that there were Vredenburg relatives of mine living south of Troy NY who owned a brick yard. This information I got from my grandfather, who was a real well of knowledge on this branch of the family, but who died in December of 1984 (see my post entitled "Robert Miles Vredenburg" from March 19). Some of his nephews are still alive and I'm presently looking them up (Charles in Massachusetts?).

Good luck on your search. If I find in my travels that some of my people are related to your people in your areas, I'll let you know.

Ben
