Peggy please email me when you get this. I would like to know like to know more of your line of Voss' I think that we are all related and when the group came from maryland to Ohio. Your Voss came with Mary Colston(Brannock Ater) IT is possiblke that your voss goes back to the Vaulx (Voss) the immigrated from England to To Virgina (Williamsburg) if there is a direct male descendant of William there is a DNA available to link to that Vaulx family. YOu see Mary Colston Ater's maiden name was Voss. and she may have had brothers came with her to Ohio. Canlee and possibly your William were her brother or cousins. The Vaulx family did settle in Dorchester county MD. It is possible because of the pronunciation that the name changed from Vaulx to Voss. I know that mary Polly Voss Colston Ater's parents we William and Nancy Thomas and William's parents were Francis Voss and Mary Eccleston. Her parents were Hugh Eccleston And Ann Trippe and Hugh immigrated to MD around 1665 from Yarmouth in England. Because if the early date we can become frist family of MD. If we can link to the Vaulx we can be an early family of Virgina.
