I am not sure if William was her brother. you see In the family Bible she only lists herself as the daughter of Robert and nancy (Possible Thomas) Voss. What I am trying to do now is establish the parents of Francis Voss who left Robert as an orphan in 1745. If we can find that out then we can trace our family back to england to Vaulx's who came with the normans to england with william the conquerer. The is kennerly Voss in MD and this might be the Voss branch that your William comes from. there were a large number of families that came from Maryland to Ross county all at the same time. (William Cannerly Voss and Elizabeth Keene, 21 Aug 1784) this marriage John Eccleston Voss and Melody Wrotten, 24 Dec 1798 may have some connection to Mary Polly as a John Eccleston was the guardian of Mary's Dad Robert at the time he received Retalitation in 1745. BUt I have no proof of this.
