Looking for ancestors/descendants of Frederick John Joseph VOSS born about 1830 The Grand Duchy of Mecklenberg-Schwerin. Married Doratea PHRANZE abt 1851. Both sets of parents names not known at this stage. However, it is believed that Frederick John Joseph VOSS' father was a peasant farmer that had become a soldier under Napoleon.

Frederick & Doratea and family emmigrated to Australia in 1855 on the ship Daniel Ross. They settled in colony of New South Wales.

They had 6 children (two sets of twins), with the first two possibly dying in Germany or on the voyage. The other four children being born in Australia.
