RITES HELD FOR JOHN VOSS HERE
Victim of Dynamite Blast Buried at Arthur, Wisconsin
Funeral services for John W. D. Voss, 62, who died Sunday morning at a local hospital of injuries received when a dynamite charge he was investigating Saturday exploded, were held at the chapel of the McAuley and Son funeral home Tuesday morning.
The Rev. Roy W. Peyton, pastor of the Presbyterian church, was in charge of services.
Mr. Voss had resided on route 1 since March 3, 1939.For 28 years previous to his moving to Mason City, Mr. Voss resided near Estherville.He was born May 21, 1876 at Platteville, Wis.
Following services here, the body was taken overland to Arthur, Wis., near Platteville, for burial.A prayer service was held at the grave Tuesday afternoon.
Accompanying the body to Arthur were his widow, Mrs. John Voss, a daughter, Miss Dorothy Voss, and a son, John Voss, Jr., and Mrs. Ivan Piper and Leon Smail.
