Hi Stephen,

Always nice to find a family member especially at Christmas.

The direct line of Vose to John Thomas is as follows:

Thomas Vose b 1789 m Elizabeth (Unknown) b1786
/
Thomas Vose (1819-1885) m Elizabeth Rigby (1822-1895)
/
George Vose (1863-1937) m Mary Bold (1866-1938)
/
John Thomas Vose

These are almost all St Helens born, the exception being Mary Bold who came from the exotic location of Wigan.

This is only the bare bones to give you your direct ancestry. The Voses were legion in St Helens and I have a load of collaterals. Even so there are some Voses I Have not been able to link in to my tree.

John Thomas's siblings were George b 1890, Mary Elizabeth b 1887 and Martha Ellen (my grandmother) b 1893. Mary's line is extinct but I think George may have descendants, if so they are in the Birmingham area. The family lived in Peasley Cross, John Thomas's father worked in the glassworks.

Regards, and happy Christmas
Brian
