Hi, we've got another VOSE family from the Manchester area, one that stayed there!

Our first known is William Vose b. 1831 St. Helens. He married Mary Mathews and they moved to Pendleton, Lancashire where he opened a Dairy.

Next is their son, Frederick William Vose b. 1867, who married Mary Fairhurst. Whether there were other siblings is unknown.

Next are their 2 sons, Henry Fairhurst Vose b. 1885 and Frederick Vose b. abt 1902.

The family stayed in Pendleton until Henry (my husband's father) moved to Manchester when he married into the Lucas family.

Obviously your Thomas could be connected, the placement is right but the dates are difficult... cousins?

Any and all information or ideas are welcome. We know nothing about the Vose story and would love to learn more. My greatest ambition is to have a look at birth/marriage records in St. Helens and find out something about William Vose's origins.

All the best, nancy
