Vose b about 1826 NY by Elizabeth Simmons of 270 Dorman Darcourt Vose was born Oct 24, 1825 at Bennington, NY French and German 5 ft 10 in tall 160 lbs Sallow complexion Stone mason Brown hair, dark hazel eyes, General good health Married twice had 3 children by first wife married 1852 age 27 yrs Abdon E. Vose born April 18, 1853 Susan Adelia Vose born Feb 17, 1856 John Byron Vose born May 10, 1858 Second marriage was Feb 25, 1870 Died of cancer contracted from Spanish Fly Blister while in service during Civil War. Died Mar 26, 1911 at his home in Galesburg and buried in the Old Cemetery at that place. Elizabeth Barnes Fisher was united in marriage to Dorman D. Vose Feb. 25, 1870 5 children were born to them Amelia Malinda Vose Lovinnie Evaline Vose Arthur Vose Guyen Vose Rose Vose D. D.
