You asked the whereabouts of Kinderhook. It is in Columbia county, New York, about 20 miles southeast of Albany on the east bank of the Hudson River. Geertruy Coeymans Vosburgh and her five children settled in Kinderhook in the late 1600s. A 1686 map of Kinderhook, published in HISTORY OF KINDERHOOK, NY by Edward Collier, shows land allocations to the various Vosburgh boys.
