Looking for any information on Nancy Vorce born 1824/5 in New York. She MAY be the daughter of Oliver Allen Vorce and Mary Coon.

Nancy married Thorrit W. Warner (b. 1807 NY)
Harriet Warner born 1848
Scott Warner born 1849
Waldin Warner born 1851
Sarah Warner born 1852
Mary Warner born 1855
Wellington Warner born 1857
Washington Warner born 1858
Arvilla Melvina Warner born 5 May 1862 in Joliet, Will County, Illinois
"Ettie" Esther Warner born 1864
Nancy died aft. 1900

Thorrit W. Warner purchased land from the federal government in 1849/50 in Green Garden, Will County, Illinois. (SENW 6 34 12) Thorrit is alternately listed as Thout, Thart, Thariat and Thorit. (and possibly Thorid, Thorsen and Therat.)

In 1870 and 1880 the family appears in the Frankfort, Will County, Illinois census.

Two of the daughters married Ellis brothers: Arvilla Warner marries "Frank" James Franklin Ellis and "Ettie" Esther Warner marries Charles Ellis. Both the Ellis' are sons of Lyman Ellis of Cook County, Illinois.

Scott Warner may have married Susan Peck, Sarah Warner may have married John Louer or Lowrey, Mary Warner may have married John Armstrong - if so, then in the 1900 Census the Mary Warner in Joliet, Will County, Illinois has a mother "Nancy" staying with her who is probably Nancy Vorce - in which case there are 3 other children, 2 of whom had died by that time.

Thorrit and Nancy both appear in the Joliet, Illinois Directories, 1884-92 available at Ancestry.com. Mary Armstrong appears in the directory for 1888 at the same address as Thorit Warner and in 1892 she appears at the same address as Mrs. Nancy Warner.

Any information would be greatly appreciated, Arvilla Warner is my 2nd great-grandmother.

Thanks,

Michael Gray
