I have found more information on the family I am trying to research. I have found the parents of Edmund VomSteeg and additional generations.
Friedrich Wilhelm Vom Steeg married Gertrud Pukerbein had a child named Reinhard Vom Steeg. Reinhard Vom Steeg married Caroline Heinrichs on 11 May 1885 in Evangelisch, Wald Solingen, Rheinland, Preussen. They had a child named Edmund VomSteeg born 1861 in Germany. Edmund was christen on 2 Dec 1861 in Solingen, Rheinland, Preussen. He married Caroline Picard born 1862 in Germany. They had atleast two children Antoinette Carolyn VomSteeg and Edmund VomSteeg. They immigrated in 1891 on the Friesland that departed from Antwerp, Belgium. Edmund VomSteeg born on 1887 in Germany and died on 4 Jan 1977 in Florida, USA. There is a rumor that he inherited being a Free Mason from some French Free Mason. I am still researching that line as well. He married a Martha Hoff born on 1890. Antoinette Carolyn VomSteeg born on 22 Jun 1889 in Solingen, Germany and died on Feb 1969 in Maryland, USA. She married Arthur Carl Lomberg born on 1885 and died on 1918. The Lombergs came over in 1887 departing from Antwerp, Belgium on two different boats. I have found a Dorthy VomSteeg in the census as a daughter. When I talk to relatives they say she wasn’t their daughter, but a neice or a grand daughter. I don’t know. I am still looking into that. It said she was born in the USA and both parents were born in Germany. The date fits to after they arrived in the USA.
I am interested in any more information on this family. Please submit anything that might be helpful.
