The Volpe's originated in Castlevetrano and Partanna Sicily. When I went to Castlevetrano in 2001 to do research, I found that not one Volpe family is left there. After WWII most went to Argentina of all places. Or they were already in the U.S. You can check www.ellisisland.org to see if you can find immigration information on your line. My line went to Texas and then to Los Angeles. Good luck on your search.
